Turkey has reiterated its readiness to mobilize humanitarian aid for Gaza on a large scale, provided that secure and sufficient aid channels can be guaranteed. According to the statement, existing donor contributions and national resources are ready to be activated immediately to respond to the worsening humanitarian crisis.
Discussions focused on the possibility of resuming aid shipments through the Egyptian city of Arish, which has served as a critical hub for humanitarian access to Gaza. The talks were held with the President of Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), Ali Hamza Pehlivan, in coordination with Egyptian authorities.
Following the meeting, gratitude was expressed to the AFAD President for his warm welcome and constructive exchange of views, which reinforced the spirit of bilateral cooperation between Ankara and Cairo in addressing urgent humanitarian needs.
