A few hours later, lights will be shed on Wednesday, July 17 at Al-Salam Stadium, where Tunisia will play against Nigeria in a tasty Africa Cup of Nations third-place play-off.

Tunisia – the one-time title holders – met Nigeria on 15 occasions with five victories to Eagles of Carthage versus six to Super Eagles. The other four confrontations ended in draws.

Tunisia's players scored 17 goals, while they received 16 during their clashes against the three-time title holders.

The last confrontation between both teams in 2006 AFCON, was held in Egypt where Nigeria defeated Tunisia on penalties 6-5 in the last eight.
