Former US President Donald Trump will announce next week his intentions to participate in the 2024 US Presidential Marathon, Trump's Advisor Jason Miller announced on Friday.
Miller said: “President Trump is going to announce on Tuesday that he is running for president,”
He added: “It’s gonna be a very professional, very buttoned-up announcement."
Miller said Trump told him, “there doesn’t need to be any question, of course I am running.”
Last week, Trump said that he will make a "very big statement" on November 15 at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida, as he himself told his supporters at a political rally in Ohio.
"I'm going to be making a very big announcement on Tuesday, November 15 at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida," Trump said.
The former US president did not elaborate, noting that he did not want to "detract from tomorrow's very important, even critical election."
Previous reports said Trump is expected to announce his plans to run for president in 2024 after the midterm congressional elections.
