A campaign rally for former President Donald Trump in Pennsylvania on Saturday witnessed shots being fired.
Video footage showed members of the Secret Service and police escorting Trump to a car while he raised his fist in the air.
The former US President was seen with blood staining his right ear while he was surrounded by security men who took him out from behind the podium.
CNN confirmed in breaking news that “Trump was injured in a shooting incident at an election rally in Pennsylvania.”
Trump said later in a post on Truth Social that his ear was grazed by a bullet
Later, a Fox News correspondent, citing the White House, said: “President Biden was informed of the shooting incident at a Trump campaign rally.”
The White House then issued a brief statement that said: “Biden received preliminary information about the shooting incident at a Trump election rally.”
