Today, US President-elect Joe Biden responded to Trump's confession, saying that the elections are over and it is time to put aside prejudiced interests.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump gave the green light to begin the process of transferring power to President-elect Joe Biden's administration.

The current US President confirmed that he had given Emily Murphy, head of the Public Services Administration, the green light to proceed with handing over power to Biden's administration despite his plans to continue filing legal claims.

Biden's team welcomed Trump's decision, which provides a "smooth transfer of power," according to a brief statement.

Johannes Abraham, a Biden's official said, "The Director of the Public Services Agency confirmed that the President-elect and Vice-President-elect Kamala Harris won the elections, which provides the incoming administration with the resources and support needed for a smooth and peaceful transition of power."
