Today, Tuesday, the Chinese Customs Main Department reported that trade exchange between China and the United States of America (USA) in January-April of this year decreased by 11.2 percent, to reach $217.9 billion.
The Chinese department added that China's exports to the United States decreased during this time period by 14.3%, to reach $158.25 billion, while the United States exports to China decreased by 2%, to $59.69 billion.
Nevertheless, the United States remains China's largest trading partner.
Last April, trade exchange between the two countries decreased by 5.7% compared to last March, amounting to $56.36 billion. As for China, it exported goods worth 43.02 billion dollars to the United States. The value of China's imports from the United States this month amounted to 13.34 billion dollars.
In 2021, trade exchange between China and the United States increased by 28.7%, to reach $755.64 billion. In 2022, it increased by 0.6%, to reach $759.4 billion.
