Tourism and Antiquities Ministry announced the launch of a new electronic service to help tourists via text messages on their mobile phones.
This comes within the framework of the ministry's keenness to communicate directly and quickly with tourists upon their arrival in Egypt.
Dr. Khaled Sherif, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for digital transformation said that this service will be provided through mobile network operators in Egypt, which will send an automated SMS to tourists as soon as they arrive in one of Egypt’s airports to welcome and inform them of the ministry’s multi-language hotline ‘19654’, as well as other national emergency numbers.
The hotline will operate, around the clock, to answer Tourists' inquiries or listen to any suggestions or complaints.
The program is launched as a part of cooperation protocol with the Communications Ministry, as well as the digitization program currently being implemented in Egypt.
