Ahmed Issa, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, received at the ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, Ambassador Gonzalo Oriolabeta, the Argentine ambassador to Cairo, to discuss mechanisms for enhancing joint bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of tourism and antiquities and to address ways to push more tourist traffic from Argentina to Egypt.
The Minister pointed out that the latest developments in tourism movement coming to Egypt from Argentina have witnessed a noticeable increase over the past period, hoping that the coming period will witness more cooperation to attract a larger number of Argentine tourists to visit Egypt and enjoy its diverse tourism and archaeological features.
The meeting also focused on ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the field of archaeological work in addition to th proposal for the Ministry's participation in one of the tourism exhibitions that will be organized in Argentina.
They also tackled the importance of studying the proposal to hold a temporary exhibition of Egyptian antiquities in Argentina, to be an opportunity to highlight the ancient Egyptian civilization.
