The Board of Directors of the Grand Egyptian Museum (NEMC) held a meeting on June 21 headed by Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Issa, to discuss a number of topics related to the latest developments in the museum.
During the meeting, Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the Museum Authority, gave a brief presentation on the museum's performance, revenues, and the number of Egyptian and foreign visitors to it during the past month.
Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim also briefed the members of the Council on the most prominent events and various cultural and scientific activities hosted by the Museum during the past month, including
including art exhibitions and the Holy Family's entry into the Land of Egypt anniversary ceremony.
He also talked about the launch of the activities of the "Cinema and Civilization" initiative, which is organised by the museum within the framework of cultural and artistic programs to revive the heritage of cinema.
For his part, Mr. Ahmed Issa hailed the efforts made by the CEO of the Museum Authority, his work team, and all the museum employees for their great efforts, which resulted in increasing the revenues of the museum during the previous months.
