A few hours ago, CelebTattler unveiled the most searched celebrities in 2022 on Google. The data was released a few weeks before the end of 2022. Here are the top 10 searched names on Google.

The first two places on the list went to Amber Heard and Johnny Depp. The number of searches surpassed 5.6 million per month.

The Hollywood stars were the central topic of gossip in 2022 due to their legal dispute, and trial that was aired for the audience.

Depp sued his ex-wife Heard in March 2019 for $50 million over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed under Heard’s byline.

However, in his filings and repeatedly on the stand during the trial earlier this year, he declared he was the one who was abused in the couple’s relationship.

Heard countersued Depp for $100 million in 2020. That countersuit came months before Depp’s UK libel case against the Rupert Murdoch-owned "The Sun" tabloid for calling him a “wife beater” proved a dramatic flameout in November 2020.

Regarding the third place, it was for Queen Elizabeth II. There are several reasons for the late queen to be a top-searched entry such as the celebration of her platinum jubilee.

However, the main reason for increasing the popularity of the queen is her death, last September at the age of 96 years old.

Tom Brady, a Football icon, came fourth on the list due to his divorce. Brady and famous actress and model Gisele Bündchen.

World-famed media personality Kim Kardashian and Comedia Pete Davidson conquered the fifth and sixth places on the list due to their trending romance.

In addition, Kardashian's latest Met Gala event with Marilyn Monroe dress.

Controversial businessman and the new CEO of Twitter Elon Musk came in seventh place on the list after finalizing Twitter's takeover bid.

Will Smith also was enlisted on the eighthth place after slapping Chris Rock while presenting OSCARS awards ceremony after mocking his wife.

Trailing in ninth and tenth place were for Millie Bobby Brown of “Stranger Things," and “Euphoria” star Zendaya.

After releasing the list, the spokesperson of CelebTattler said: "This year has certainly not been lacking when it comes to celebrity news stories, whether it be Elon Musk taking over Twitter or the ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ behind the scenes drama."
