Banks operating in Egypt have warned their clients from providing any information concerning their bank accounts to anonymous crooks to avoid being caught up in fraudulent attempts.
Several customers have notified receiving fake messages, on behalf of the banks, asking them for information regarding their accounts and credit cards.
"We received messages from anonymous numbers, claiming to be banks, asking for our credit cards and bank accounts' details to enter a prize draw," some customers said.
