The Ministry said that the museum will be opened again to visitors after that time on the same day completely during the museum’s official working hours.
The museum had announced the launch of the “audio guide” service inside the Royal Mummies Hall only, where guidance is prohibited, to provide a comprehensive historical explanation via special headphones to visitors in Arabic and English.
This service is provided to visitors for a fee in addition to the price of the museum entry ticket, which the visitor can book through the museum’s ticket office.
Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the Museum Authority, explained that this experience will be enjoyable for visitors, as it will take them on an exciting journey through history with the most important kings and queens of Egypt during the various Egyptian eras, and historical and archaeological information about them and their lives, and the achievements they achieved during their periods of rule and what they contributed to writing. He added that this service will be available inside the Royal Mummies Hall throughout the week, and will be provided in a way that maintains peace, calm and respect inside the hall, and in a manner commensurate with the greatness of these great kings, pointing to the unique historical value of the Royal Mummies Hall, as the royal mummies displayed in it are The only surviving king of ancient Egypt to date, it also represents the most important kings of ancient Egypt during the era of the New Kingdom Empire.
