'Arab Organization for Industrialization' Promotes Digital Transformation

Lieutenant General Abdel Moneim El-Terras, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), and Prof. Ahmed Magdy El-Gohary, President of the Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST), witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol.

The signing of this protocol comes within the framework of the AOI strategy to enhance cooperation with educational and research institutions, as well as lay the foundations for scientific and research cooperation, training and technology transfer.

In this regard, El-Terras affirmed the implementation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to promote digital transformation and electronic mechanization for all educational and governmental institutions, stressing that AOI exerts full technological potential and expertise to manage the needs of faculties and research centers at E-JUST.

El-Terras added that it was agreed to meet the needs of E-JUST in many fields, including various educational aids, computers, electronic display screens, surveillance camera systems, administrative and educational furniture, solar stations, energy-saving systems, smart water-saving systems, devices, sports bikes, electronics, medical supplies, medical and hazardous waste incinerators, and environmental protection equipment. In addition to many areas that serve the University's development plan and strategies.

He also indicated that the fields of cooperation include training and support for research projects and applicable industrial innovations to serve the various manufacturing sectors. This includes organizing training courses in common areas and summer training programs in various engineering disciplines in the production and research units of the Organization. Additionally, it includes training its human cadres in specialized courses at the university and organizing field visits for students of engineering to the various pisions of The Arab Organization for Industrialization.

In this context, El-Terras mentioned that The Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) has promoted digital transformation in the universities of Benha, Assiut, Suez Canal and Sadat, referring to the participation in equipping new private and technological universities in new cities, including King Salman, Al-Alamein, Galala, New Mansoura, and the National Training Academy.

Prof.  El-Gohary expressed his confidence in the success of this cooperation, due to the continuous support provided by The Arab Organization for Industrialization to various scientific institutions in the fields of training and scientific research transforming research outputs into applied models that can be used in various industrial fields qualifying them for the labor market.

During his inspection of the AOI Training Academy, El-Gohary praised the training plans, programs, and modern digital training equipment compatible with the standards of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. He referred to strengthening cooperation with the AOI in the field of infrastructure to serve digital transformation plans, conferring to the latest modern systems, especially with AOI’s excellence in high quality manufacturing, accuracy and commitment to delivery deadlines in accordance with international quality standards.
