The American University in Cairo honored on Saturday veteran actress Lubna Abdel Aziz, in addition to hosting a book signing event dedicated to her newly-released biography.
The celebration took place at the Open Fountain Garden with applying the protective measures against COVID-19 such as social distancing, and a few number of attendance. Several figures attended the event such as journalist/TV interviewer Mofeed Fawzy, actor/TV presenter Samir Sabry, and acress Elham Shahin.

The artist who is an AUC graduate said in her speech: “My memory took me to my 16 years old when I joined the university, and learned at its various halls and classes.”
Next, she thanked the university for honoring her. AUC President Francis J. Ricciardone gifted Abdel Aziz a Certificate of Appreciation.
Furthermore, journalis Heba Mohamed Ali, the editor of Abdel Aziz’s biography, cited a chapter from “Qeset Emraa Hora” (Free Woman’s Story) book to the audience.
Published by Sama publishing house, the book consisted of 231 pages; in addition it included various photos for the artist’s acting career, and personal life. The book also contained some photos for the actress’ daughters and grandchildren.
