DC Studios is expanding its newly rebooted cinematic universe with a live-action film adaptation of “Teen Titans”.

Ana Nogueira has been tapped to pen the feature.

The news comes four months after Nogueria was reported to be writing “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” for Warner Bros. Discovery’s comic book adaptation division.

An actress and playwright, Nogueira has been involved with DC for several years now, having been originally tapped by the previous regime to write a “Supergirl” movie that would’ve seen Sasha Calle reprise the character after debuting in last summer’s “The Flash.” That project was scrapped after James Gunn and Peter Safran took on leadership roles, setting plans for a rebooted continuity of on-screen DC Comics adaptations. But the pair have maintained a relationship with Nogueira, which is further growing with “Titans.”

“Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” was confirmed by Gunn and Safran alongside DC Studios’ first slate of announced features, which will formally begin with the Gunn-directed “Superman” on July 11, 2025.

The “Teen Titans” movie is a new development and was not part of that initial group of confirmed projects, which includes an adaptation of the “Batman” arc “The Brave and the Bold,” a horror-forward take on “Swamp Thing” and an antihero team-up film “The Authority.”

First introduced in the 1960s, Teen Titans are a group of superpowered young ‘uns traditionally led by Batman’s second banana Robin, fighting alongside heroes like Cyborg, Raven, Starfire and Beast Boy.

The property has spawned two animated series adaptations for Cartoon Network: the anime-influenced “Teen Titans” in the aughts and the more absurdist-comedic “Teen Titans Go!,” which is still running after debuting in 2013.

It has also spawned a theatrical feature adaptation, 2018’s “Teen Titans Go! To the Movies.”
