Tax Authority Clarifies Truth about 14,000 Pounds Collected from Wrestling Player

The Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) clarified, in a statement what was raised on social media about deducting an amount of 14,000 pounds from the player Ahmed Fouad Baghdouda under the name of the value of taxes from his financial dues.

The Egyptian Wrestling Federation was contacted, which officially addressed the Tax Authority to clarify the matter.

The Egyptian Wrestling Federation confirmed that the player, Begdouda, receives an amount of 3000 pounds per month from the federation, and the player is entitled to an amount of 18,000 pounds for six months, where 10% was deducted as a tax income, in addition to a 3% development fee according to the regulations and laws.

The player also had to pay 13,680 pounds as a transfer fee from the Bella Youth Center  to join the national project for talent, which the player had to pay before moving, and it was postponed until the player’s financial dues are paid to facilitate it.

The Egyptian Wrestling Federation confirmed in its address to the authority that it had all the documents indicating that, signed by the player himself.

He fled after participating in an international tournament held in Tunisia. The delegation of the Egyptian wrestling team in Hammamet, Tunisia, was surprised by the disappearance of the national team player Baghdouda from the delegation’s residence, after being crowned with the silver medal.
