Press reports revealed that Al-Ahly club has entered the negotiation phase with Palestinian Omar Faraj, a player for Swedish club AIK Solna, during the summer transfer period.

The Swedish newspaper "Expressen" said that Al-Ahly's management has a desire to sign the Palestinian striker who has great technical and physical capabilities in the offensive aspect.

The newspaper said that Omar Faraj is receiving attention from clubs in the Belgian and Swiss leagues, but he is inclined to sign for Al-Ahly as it is the largest club in Africa.

The newspaper added that the management of Swedish AIK Solna is stipulating obtaining $1.8 million in exchange for relinquishing the player to Al-Ahly.

The newspaper indicated that Al-Ahly agreed with Omar Faraj before completing the deal to come to Cairo to complete the medical examination and sign the contract.

The Swiss Marcel Koller, the technical director of Al-Ahly team, is looking to achieve a new record when he faces Al-Bank Al-Ahly at nine o'clock this evening, Thursday, in the 32nd week of the Nile League.

Kohler seeks to achieve the 18th consecutive victory to set a record for consecutive victories, after he succeeded in equaling the record set by Portuguese Manuel Jose, the historic coach of Al-Ahly, in achieving the longest series of victories, after reaching the 17th consecutive victory after defeating Ceramica 2-1 in the match that brought them together on Monday evening at Cairo Stadium in the postponed round of the 19th week of the league.
