Press reports revealed that Al-Ahly club has entered the negotiation phase with Palestinian Omar Faraj, a player for Swedish club AIK Solna, during the summer transfer period.
The Swedish newspaper "Expressen" said that Al-Ahly's management has a desire to sign the Palestinian striker who has great technical and physical capabilities in the offensive aspect.
The newspaper said that Omar Faraj is receiving attention from clubs in the Belgian and Swiss leagues, but he is inclined to sign for Al-Ahly as it is the largest club in Africa.
The newspaper added that the management of Swedish AIK Solna is stipulating obtaining $1.8 million in exchange for relinquishing the player to Al-Ahly.
The newspaper indicated that Al-Ahly agreed with Omar Faraj before completing the deal to come to Cairo to complete the medical examination and sign the contract.
