Sweden and Denmark are set to clash against each other in a mega match up to determine the 2021 IHF world champions when they face each other in the final on Sunday.
Sweden Dismantles France
Sweden caused a major upset to reach the world handball championship final after superb inpidual performances from winger Hampus Wanne and goalkeeper Andreas Palicka gave them a 32-26 win over more heralded France on Friday.
Wanne tormented his markers on the left flank throughout and finished with a game-high 11 goals and right wing Daniel Pettersson netted six from as many shots, while Palicka racked up 11 saves in a high-tempo contest.
Denmark Narrowly Defeats Spain
The Danish national team qualified for the final match of the World Handball Cup after beating its Spanish counterpart in the match that brought them together on Friday in the semi-finals of the World Cup.
The defending champion Danish national team decided the match by two goals, 35-33.
