The Sudanese Sovereignty Council announced today, Sunday, that a delegation from the Sudanese government will be sent to Cairo to discuss the government's vision for the implemention of Jeddah Agreement.
According to a statement from the Sudanese Sovereignty Council on its official Facebook page: "Based on a communication with the U.S. government, represented by the U.S. envoy to Sudan, Tom Perriello, and a request from the Egyptian government for a meeting with a government delegation in Cairo to discuss the government's vision for implementing the Jeddah Agreement, the government will send a delegation to Cairo for this purpose."
Meanwhile, negotiations are currently taking place in Geneva aimed at ending the war in Sudan. These talks, which began last Wednesday with Egyptian participation and under the auspices of the United States and Saudi Arabia, are being held in the presence of the African Union and the United Nations.
