Sudanese Foreign Minister Maryam Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi called on Ethiopia today, Saturday, to return to its senses on the file of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).
Earlier, Sudanese Minister of Irrigation Yasser Abbas called for exchanging information with Ethiopia and reaching a binding legal agreement on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, stressing the need to change the negotiation methodology led by the African Union.
The Sudanese Minister of Irrigation added during a press conference that the Renaissance Dam threatens half of Sudan’s population, calling on the media to cover the issue in a balanced manner.
