Today, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, met with Ms. Bouchra Hajij, President of the African Volleyball Confederation, and in the presence of engineer Yasser Qamar, President of the Egyptian Volleyball Federation Volleyball.

The Minister of Sports welcomed the presence of the CAVB President in Egypt, affirming Egypt's full support for the CAVB during her presidency.

Minister Sobhi noted that Africa now has a large base of volleyball players at the men's and women's levels as well as at the junior level. Egypt has also stood out for the great development of sports facilities and infrastructure, which has greatly contributed to the hosting of major sporting events thanks to the great support of political leaders.

The sports minister clarified that Egypt now has a gymnasium equipped at the highest level throughout the republic with at least 2,000 fans.

The President of the African Volleyball Confederation, Ms. Hajij, expressed great satisfaction and gratitude for the warmth of the welcome during her presence in Egypt.

She clarified that the main objective is to raise the level of volleyball in Africa to be on par with its counterparts in the continents and other developed countries in the world of volleyball.

On the sidelines of the meeting, Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, invited the President of the African Confederation to visit the new administrative capital to explore Egypt through the Olympic Games, the first and largest Egyptian Olympic city

Which is a source of pride for Egyptians.

The president of the CAVB also called on the Minister of Sports to attend the African beach volleyball championship which will be held next June in the city of Tetouan in Morocco and which are qualifiers for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The president of the CAVB CAVB is on the sidelines of Egypt which hosts the two African club championships at the men's and women's level.
