Jamie Spears, the father of American pop icon Britney Spears, has lost his attempt to control over 60 million dollar investments of his daughter on Thursday.
The father controlled Spears' estate and personal issues since 2008 after being involved in several legal issues.
Also, the court refused the father's objections to establish "Bessemer Trust Co as a co-conservator over her estate," according to the Daily Mail.
This round was not the first one in the battle between the father and the daughter as last year, the singer failed in ending her father's role over her financial affairs.
Jamie Spears' lawyer Vivian Thoreen highlighted that "Spears intended to delegate the estate's investment power to the wealth management firm," according to Sky News.
The father's conservatorship over the singer's affairs started 11 years ago alongside lawyer Andrew M Wallet who resigned in 2019.
Then, he decided to end his role as a conservator of his daughter's personal affairs, however, he kept his role as a conservator of her financial issues.
This sentence came days after Spears released a documentary about her life and the temptations she faced through her musical career.
