A Spanish newspaper has denied recent rumors suggesting that Lionel Messi is set to join Al-Ahli Saudi Club or any other team in Saudi Arabia.

The report affirms that such claims are unfounded and lack credible sources, and that the Argentine star’s future remains tied to his current club, Inter Miami.

According to Marca, Messi — whose contract with Inter Miami expires in the summer of 2025 — is planning to extend his stay for at least one more season.

The goal is to continue his career with the American club through the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The newspaper added that while the contract extension is not finalized yet, there is mutual interest between Messi and Inter Miami.

An official announcement is expected before the end of the current Major League Soccer (MLS) season.

Marca emphasized that speculation about Messi’s potential move to the Saudi Pro League is nothing more than rumors.

The player is reportedly very comfortable in Miami, both personally and professionally. He plays a key leadership role at the club and has become one of the biggest icons of Major League Soccer.

The report also highlighted that Messi’s family is happy living in the United States, making the idea of a move elsewhere highly unlikely at this time.
