Spain beats Iran equaling Portugal at the top of their group

Iran lost an unfortunate match against the 2010 World Cup champions Spain after equaling Spain throughout the match and reaching the goal on several occasions.

Diego Costa scored Spain's goal in the 54th minute of the match. From then on Iran would upscale their efforts to equalize the score and in the 62nd minute Iran scored a goal that was cancelled by the referee who deemed it Offside.

This loss puts Spain and Portugal at the top of the group with 4 points each, and Iran in second place with 3 points and morocco exits the world cup after placing last with no points.
