One person was killed and three others were injured in a landmine explosion in the Somali province of Hiran.
According to the Somali News Agency, the landmine , which was planted by Al-Shabab militia, destroyed the passenger waiting area at an airport in the province.
For many years, Somalia has been witnessing a bloody conflict between the “Al-Shabab” movement, which adopts the ideology of “Al-Qaeda”, and the forces of the central government in Somalia. The movement aims to control the country and rule it according to its strict interpretation of Islamic law.
The Somali army, along with the forces of Galmudug state, has been conducting military operations against the “Al-Shabab” militia for more than two months.
