Soliman to Run for EFA Presidency Seat

Former deputy chairman of the Zamalek club Ahmed Soliman announced Tuesday his intention to run for the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) president's seat.

Soliman wrote through his official Facebook account: "Out of my belief in the vital role of sports in the lives of the Egyptian people, and the effective role of sports in building modern Egypt on practical and ethical foundations that commensurate with the aspirations of the Egyptian people in having a bright future,"

"Based on my experience in the field of Sports, I hereby announce my intention to run for the presidency of the Egyptian Football Association, whenever this is in agreement with the laws and regulations and what is approved by the competent administrative authority in this regard." he added.

FIFA appointed a tripartite committee headed by Ahmed Megahed to temporarily manage the Egyptian Football Association until the elections date.
