Snow Falls in Alexandria- PHOTOS

On Monday, snow covered the streets, cars, and buildings of Alexandria Governorate, as a clod snap hit Egypt.

Social media users circulated photos online from different parts in Alexandria, which featured heavy rains, and snow as if it is a European city.

Moreover, Alexandria’s Port authority closed the straits of Boughazi Alexandria and Dekheila due to the bad weather conditions and high waves.

"The decision was taken to guarantee the safety of passing ships," said Ahmed Berekaa, Spokesperson of Alexandria port.

Berekaa noted that the port’s operation center and crisis management is ready to receive any reports or mayday calls.
