President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received on Sunday Pakistani chairperson of Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Gen. Nadeem Raza, according to Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady.
During their meeting, Sisi requested that his greetings be convoyed to Pakistani President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan, hailing the historic and deep ties between both countries.
Moreover, Egypt's head of state affirmed the country's keenness to develop bilateral cooperation between Cairo, and Islamabad, and to enhance coordination and consultations regarding various issues of common interests foremost of which counter-terrorism and extremism, which considered one of the most key challenges facing the world nowadays.
In addition, Sisi underlined the necessity of joining hands to clarify and disseminate the principles of true religion, acceptance of others, and peaceful coexistence, taking into account Egypt's appreciation of Pakistan's role as a pivotal country in the region.
