Sisi Receives Libya's New Prime Minister Dbeibah

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received Thursday Head of the new Libyan government Abdul Hamid Dbeibah who is currently visiting Egypt.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Chief of General Intelligence Abbas Kamel attended the meeting this morning.

The Libyan Premier expressed his honor to meet Sisi, expressing his country's appreciation and pride for the sincere and effective Egyptian efforts in various paths to resolve the Libyan crisis during the past period, which resulted in the convergence of views between Libyans and an end to the state of pision.

He also lauded Egypt's support for Libyan institutions in combating terrorism and extremist groups.

Dbeibah affirmed that the Libyan government and people are looking forward to establishing a comprehensive partnership with Egypt with the aim of reproducing successful examples of its inspiring development experience that was achieved over the past years under the leadership and vision of President Sisi, especially with regard to restoring security and stability and launching the development and reform process.

"Sisi welcomed Dbeibah in his second country, Egypt, and re-congratulated the new Libyan leadership for obtaining the confidence of the members of the Political Dialogue Forum," said Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.

Sisi also stressed Egypt's keenness to continue supporting the Libyan people to complete the mechanisms of managing their country, and install the foundations of peace and stability to preserve their capabilities and activate their will.

Moreover, he affirmed that the current stage requires Libya to mobilize all the efforts of its loyal people in order to prioritize action in various fields, starting with the restoration of security, the consolidation of the pillars of the state, and ending with the initiation of service and development projects that have a direct impact on the brotherly Libyan people.

"The president reaffirmed Egypt's full readiness to provide all its expertise and experience in serving the Libyan brothers, in a way that contributes to putting Libya on the right track and preparing the state to launch towards prospects for construction, development and stability," the spokesman noted.

Rady manifested that the meeting witnessed a review of Libyan efforts during the coming period to lead the transitional phase, and the prospects for cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly countries to support the Libyan side in the historical responsibility in that period.

They also agreed to exchange visits at the level of executive officials to transfer expertise and experience to the Libyan side, and to consult concerning all sectors in which cooperation will take place, especially at the level of services and restoring security, as well as economic cooperation, and training Libyan cadres in various fields.
