President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received, on Thursday, Sudanese Transitional Prime Minister (PM), Mr. Kamal Idris, in the presence of Egyptian Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and delegations from both countries.
Mohamed El-Shenawy, official Presidential spokesperson stated that the meeting discussed the latest developments in the strategic relations between Egypt and Sudan and ways to strengthen and expand cooperation in various fields, to help restore stability in Sudan and fulfill the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples for development and prosperity.
The spokesperson added Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s firm and consistent position in supporting the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Sudan.
He emphasized Egypt’s full support for all efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability in Sudan and alleviating the current humanitarian suffering, in a manner that preserves the resources of the Sudanese people.
In this context, the meeting also addressed the ongoing efforts to resolve the Sudanese crisis and meet the aspirations of the Sudanese people for peace and stability, in addition to discussing ways of cooperation between the two countries in the field of reconstruction in Sudan.
