Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is set to open on Saturday the branch of King Salman International University in Sinai's Sharm El-Sheikh, according to presidency spokesman Bassam Rady.
Moreover, Sisi will inaugurate a number of national projects in different governorates via video conference, including, Sharm El-Sheikh, Royal Vichels, and Kafr El-Shiekh Museums.
"King Salman University is considered one of the key projects, currently implemented within the Sinai Peninsula Development Plan, which top the state's priorities," Rady said.
He added that the university comprises 10 faculties distributed over its three branches in El-Tor - Ras Sedr - Sharm El Sheikh cities with a capacity of about 30 thousand students.
"The establishment of the university came as a part of the strategic plan to advance higher education at the level of the Republic and to prepare young students and refine them scientifically and academically in line with the modern and contemporary requirements of the labor market, as well as to contribute to the comprehensive development process in the country," the spokesman continued.
King Salman University - Sharm El-Sheikh Branch
-This branch houses four faculties: the Faculty of languages; Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality; Architecture Faculty; and Faculty of Art and Design.
-It is built on a 35-acre plot.
- This branch comprises a number of administrative, sports, service, and residential buildings.
-Construction of the branches began in July 2017.
