President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met Wednesday with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Ministers of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Local Development, Communications and Information Technology, Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities and Transport.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Bassam Rady, stated that President Sisi was briefed on the developments of the implementation plan for the transfer of ministries and various state bodies and institutions to the new administrative capital.

The meeting was also attended by the adviser to the President for Urban Planning and chairman of the Board of Directors of the New Administrative Capital Company, the head of the administrative oversight body, and the head of the engineering authority of the armed forces.
“The president demanded that the government’s transfer to the new administrative capital should represent a radical and modern development of the state’s administrative apparatus,” added Rady.
He also called for formulating a comprehensive conceptual framework for exploiting the current government assets and buildings in Cairo after vacating them within the framework of sound management of state assets and maximizing their value.

The president also asked the government to pay attention to green spaces and cultural coordination at the highest level within the new administrative capital as well as enhancing the role of the new administrative capital company and developing its resources.
The spokesman pointed out that the meeting witnessed a review of the executive position of the infrastructure for the new administrative capital, including its roads and facilities, as well as construction projects, areas, major residential complexes, the central business district, the Green River and the government district.

“The executive position was also reviewed with regard to the telecommunications sector’s work in the new administrative capital, including telecommunications infrastructure, information services, the digital transformation of ministries, electronic storage of documents and training of staff in new information systems,” Rady noted.
