President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received today, Monday, Stephan Richard, President of the "Orange" Communications Company, in the presence of Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, as well as senior officials of the company in Egypt and at the regional level.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Bassam Rady, stated that the meeting dealt with joint cooperation with "Orange" in the communications and information technology sector.
In this context, Sisi affirmed that Egypt aspires to constructive cooperation with "Orange" and other French companies, within the framework of the strategic bilateral relations between Egypt and France.
On his side; the Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Orange" confirmed the company's keenness to expand its activities in Egypt, pointing to the huge and promising investment opportunities provided by the communications and information technology sector in Egypt.
He also lauded numerous initiatives launched by Egypt with the aim of achieving a quantum leap in society through the localization of technology in various governorates and the advancement of the field of electronics industry and design, as well as the modern infrastructure that Egypt enjoys in new cities, roads and hubs.
Rady added that the meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation with the "Orange" company and increase its investments in the areas of telecommunications services, applications supporting smart city work systems, and the provision of smart services.
