Shoukry Heads to Cyprus

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry headed to the Cypriot capital, Nicosia at the invitation of his Cypriot counterpart, Nikos Christodoulides.

Talks are expected to be held between the two sides on all aspects of the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries.

Ahmed Hafez, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Shoukry's visit comes within the framework of the continuous promotion of bilateral relations and the follow-up to the results of the meeting of the Egyptian-Cypriot Higher Committee for Cooperation in Cairo last September. It was held under the chairmanship of the two countries' presidents, as well as consultations on regional and international issues of common concern.
