Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed developments in the Guerguerat region with Algerian and Moroccan counterparts, according to Egypt’s Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson Ahmed Hafez on Saturday.

“Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry exchanged contacts with both Minister Sabri Boukadoum, Algeria’s Minister of Foreign, and Nasser Bourita, Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, within the framework of following up developments in the situation in the Guerguerat region,” said Hafez.
The spokesperson added that Egypt continues to closely follow up on the developments of the situation and make the necessary contacts so as to preserve stability.
The Egyptian contacts are based on its responsibility towards its Arab brothers in order to protect their interests and avoid any tension in the region.
