Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received a phone call on Saturday from Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain Abd al-Latif Al-Zayani , as part of the continuous consultation and coordination on the latest developments of the Palestinian cause between the two sides.
“During the call, the two ministers stressed the importance of continuing coordination between the two brotherly countries regarding developments in the Palestinian issue, including efforts related to reconstruction process in the Gaza Strip,” Ambassador Ahmed Hafez, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated.
They also stressed the importance of pushing forward the path of political settlement between the two sides and reviving the peace process.
The two ministers also discussed during the call the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them in various fields, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership in the two countries and in a manner that meets the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.
