Sherine Talks Mental Health, New Music, and Fan Love

Egyptian superstar Sherine Abdel-Wahab is currently in Dubai to perform her first concert in months. She will perform live at Coca-Cola Arena on Friday, April 28.

During the visit, the superstar gave her first interview after a long disappearance. Sherine expressed keenness on being reunited with her audience.

She also disclosed the reason behind her absence was suffering from a major psychological crisis, which is still ongoing.

"I am happy to return to my life. The fish has returned to the sea. I am very happy to be back to presenting shows. I will release new music in the coming period," she told Et Bil Arabi.

She added, "I've missed the audience very much as well as my work,".

"If I was late, this was due to psychological conditions that are much greater than me and my disappearance was part of the recovery that I needed for years,".

The singer reassured her fans that her mental health had recovered in large part.

She added: "I feel that all the girls are my daughters, but I also feel that I am the daughter of the audience and they are my children,".

"The love and support that I saw from the people were beyond description and imagination. I belong to the audience and under their command as they were the ones who made Sherine Abdel-Wahab,".

She continued, "The artists were like the audience, afraid for me, and they wanted my come back out of love for me that god had honored me with it.

The superstar gushed over the audience recipient of her, noting: "I love the audience’s reception to me,".

Sherine also discussed the fate of the new songs that she recorded before her crisis with Rotana.

The singer pointed out that she will present them in the concert, regardless if the production company released the songs.

"We have some management problems that will be resolved with Rotana. The songs will be released when we solve these problems," she added.

Sherine confirmed that she did not lose her account on social media but noted got suspended due to several management problems.

"I didn't lose my accounts on social media," she said. "There is some administration stuff that needs to be finished, and then the accounts can be retrieved."
