Prominent Egyptian religious chanter Sheikh Yassin El-Tohamy will perform live at the Cairo Opera House’s Open Theatre on Thursday, March 28.
The event is set to begin at 09:00 PM (Cairo local time) and is held as a part of the Cairo Opera House's celebration of the Holy month of Ramadan.
Born in Assiut in 1949, El-Tohamy studied at Al-Azhar schools and has performed in big Islamic Mawlid events over the past several decades, building fame in Egypt, the Arab world, and Islamic countries.
His recordings are some of the country’s most-listened-to music, especially among fans in Upper Egypt. He has also performed in various parts of the globe including England, France, and India.
