Sharm El-Sheikh airport receives first-ever Ukrainian Bees Airlines flight

Egypt's Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport received on Thursday the first flight of the new Ukrainian Bees Airlines coming from the capital, Kiev, according to a statement by the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

The Bees Airlines flight, carrying 180 passengers on board, was welcomed with a water cannon salute as the first flight by the operator to land in Sharm El-Sheikh.

Furthermore, the passengers were received by a public relations team at the airport with roses, amid adhering to the precautionary measures against the (COVID-19) pandemic.

Lately, Egypt’s popular tourist resorts Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh have been receiving more international flights after the country reopened its airspace to regular flights last summer.

It's worth noting that the airway company will operate four flights per week to the Sharm El Sheikh airport until the end of the summer season.

On the other hand, the Hurghada airport received the first flights coming from Uzbekistan with 144 passengers passengers on board, after more than a year of hiatus due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
