See Monitors Highest Return Rates on Egyptian Banks' Certificates

SeeNews monitored the highest return rates on the 3-year certificates in the Egyptian banks and their maturity period.

Data reveled that the highest annual return on the 3-year certificates recorded 12% at the Housing and Development Bank, and 11.25% at the Egyptian Arab Land Bank (EALB), on a quarterly basis.

The Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) decided in its last meeting to keep the overnight deposit rate, overnight lending rate, and the rate of the main operation unchanged at 8.25%, 9.25%, and 8.75%, respectively. The discount rate was also kept unchanged at 8.75%.

Housing and Development Bank (HDB):

HDB offers 3-year savings certificate with a return rate of 10.75% for the monthly return, 11% for the quarterly return, 11.5% for the semi-annual return, and 12% for the annual return.

Egyptian Arab Land Bank (EALB):

EALB rate ranges between 11% annually for the monthly return, and 11.25% for the quarterly return.

National Bank of Egypt (NBE):

The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) offers a 3 years Platinum Certificate at the return rate of 11% on a monthly basis.

Banque Misr:

Banque Misr offers a 3-year certificate with a quarterly return of 11%

The United Bank:

The bank offers rate ranges between 11% per annum for the monthly return, and 11.25% for the quarterly return.

Agricultural Bank of Egypt (ABE):

The bank offers the "Harvest" certificate at a return rate of 11% annually with a monthly return.

Arab African International Bank (AAIB):

The interest ranges between 10.5% annually for the monthly return, 10.75% for the quarterly return, 10.8750% for the semi-annual return, and 11% for the annual return

Banque du Caire:

Banque du Caire offers a 3-year certificate at 10.75% annually for the monthly return, and 11% for the quarterly return.
