SCZone, Polish Chamber of Commerce Discuss Localizing Green Energy Industry

The General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) participated in the meeting of the Federation of Polish Chamber of Commerce held in the capital, Warsaw.

This came in a continuation of the authority's promotional efforts within its strategy aimed at attracting global investments in the targeted investment sectors, especially the green fuel.

At the outset of the meeting, Ibrahim Abdel-KhaleK, SCZone Deputy Chairman for Investment gave a presentation introducing the economic zone and its investment opportunities, as well as the industrial sectors targeted within its strategic vision, especially the green fuel sector.

Abdel-KhaleK said that the SCZone signed 23 different memoranda of understanding to implement projects to establish industrial complexes with the aim of producing green hydrogen within the region.

He also referred to the transformation of 9 of the MoUs that were signed into framework agreements that will enter into force after the completion of technical and economic studies related to them.

On the Polish side, the meeting was attended by Janusz Wisniewski President of the Federation of Polish Chambers of Commerce and Chairman of the Egyptian-Polish Business Council, and Tomoho Umeda, CEO of Hynfra, a Polish company specialized in green hydrogen industries.
