The Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) announced in a statement on Tuesday that the Civil Protection managed to contain a fire that broke out in an electrical substation in East Port Said, without reporting any casualties or injuries.
The East Port Said Administration and the concerned authorities rushed to the site of the incident, and dealt immediately with the fire before it could affect the port and its operations.
Meantime, the concerned authorities are following up on and coordinating with the Port Said Governorate and the SCZone to investigate the matter and find out the causes of the fire.
The economic zone calls on the media outlets to verifying the accuracy of data before publishing misinformation that could create confusion among the public.
