Scheduled upcoming DC Movies

DC had it's fair share of controversy, some fans see it as a bland product which is destined to fail while others view the franchise as a success till now. DC's  two biggest movies Batman vs Superman and Justice League both failed tremendously at the box office. Suicide Squad and Man of Steel did considerably better, while Wonder Woman succeeded in attracting the mainstream audience. Whether the franchise continues to produce movies, or fails is a different story.

Below are the upcoming DC movies scheduled to be released within the coming years.

AQUAMAN (2018)

The movie will follow Jason Momoa’s Aquaman after the events of

Justice League and the defeat of SteppanWolf, as he returns to the

underwater kingdom of Atlantis and is caught in a war between the

surface dwellers and his own people. With Justice League receiving

lackluster reviews, the DCEU will have to redeem itself with Aquaman

in order to give casual fans a reason to stick with the product.

SHAZAM! (2019)

SHAZAM, formerly known as Captain Marvel is played by Zachary Levi.

Asher Angel will play Billy Batson, the child who turns into Shazam

when he says, “Shazam" he would then access the powers of Solomon,

Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles, Mercury.

JOKER ORIGIN MOVIE (2019)

This is a Movie diehard fans were awaiting for what seems like an

eternity.The Joker has been an Icon for movie villains for decades,

perhaps even the most known villain in the history of fiction.

Although fans would have loved a Joker origin story starring the late

Heath Ledger, Jared Leto is the current Joker and will probably be the

one to portray the villain's infamous character on the big screen.

WONDER WOMAN 1984 (2019)

A sequel to the highly successful Wonder Woman movie is currently in

production and will be called Wonder Woman 1984.

The movie will be set in the 1980s with a prominent Cold War

atmosphere. Gal Gadot reprises her role as Wonder Woman.

In March 2018, Kristin Wiig was able to join the cast as Cheetah, one

of Wonder Woman’s most prominent villains

Cheetha was originally Barbara Minerva, a British anthropologist who

stumbles into the lost city of Urzkartagan in the middle of an ancient

ritual and becomes the avatar of their cheetah god.
