The Saudi Cabinet has reaffirmed the urgent need to end the ongoing conflict in Sudan and bolster humanitarian response efforts. The Council also emphasized the importance of paving the way for a political future that ensures Sudan’s security, stability, unity, sovereignty, and independence.
According to Minister of Information Salman bin Yousef Al-Dosari, the statement was made during the Cabinet’s session held on Tuesday in Riyadh, presided over by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The session also reviewed the Kingdom’s collaborative achievements with global nations and organizations, highlighting steps to strengthen regional and international ties while fostering peace, stability, and development.
UN Resolution on Israeli Obligations Welcomed
The Cabinet welcomed the United Nations General Assembly’s recent adoption of a resolution seeking an advisory opinion from the International Court of Justice on Israel’s obligations to facilitate humanitarian aid to Palestinians. The resolution, presented by Norway in partnership with Saudi Arabia, was praised for its positive international support.
Support for Arab Cybersecurity Cooperation
The Saudi Cabinet also commended the outcomes of the inaugural session of the Arab Cybersecurity Ministers Council, established following a Saudi initiative. The Council was created to bolster Arab security cooperation and coordinate joint efforts to safeguard Arab nations’ interests and resources.
The session reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s steadfast commitment to fostering unity and stability across the Arab world while addressing critical regional issues with collective action.
