The announcement was made by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources during the Saudi Aviation Industry Forum, currently taking place in Jeddah.
The forum features discussions on developing the aviation sector’s infrastructure, fostering research and development, and creating an attractive business environment for both local and international investors.
As part of the launch, the first license was granted to Middle East Propulsion Company (MEPC), while Saudia Aerospace Engineering Industries (SAEI) received the second license.
These approvals mark a significant step in Saudi Arabia’s efforts to enhance its aviation capabilities and attract global players to the sector.
