Saudi Air Defense said on Sunday that its forces intercepted a drone launched by the Houthis approaching King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Airport in Jazan.
"At 7.14 am, Royal Saudi Defence Forces intercepted a drone launched by the Houthis targeting King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Airport, which is used daily by thousands of citizens," Turki al-Malki, a spokesman for Saudi-led coalition said.
"The terrorist group continues targeting civilians," Malki added, asserting, "We affirmed our legitimate right to defend our country, and Houthis terrorists will pay a heavy price."
It is worth mentioning that Saudi led a military coalition against Houthis since 2015.
