PRESS RELEASE

Ms. Sarvnaz Chitsaz, Chair of the Women’s Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), stated today that the Iranian Resistance possesses a comprehensive organizational structure ready to assume governance in the post-overthrow phase of the Velayat-e Faqih regime. She emphasized that the Iranian people have finalized their historic choice by rejecting a return to the Shah’s dictatorship and refusing the continuation of religious tyranny.

Ms. Chitsaz said: "For decades, the Velayat-e Faqih regime has worked to promote the fallacious notion that no organized force exists capable of leading the country. However, we declare clearly today that we have 25 committees that already constitute a government-in-exile, and we are in a state of full readiness to manage the transitional phase."

She added: "The Resistance’s plan for the period following the fall of the Mullahs is clear and defined by a specific timeline. It begins with a six-month transitional period under the supervision of a provisional government, followed by free elections for a Constituent Assembly tasked with drafting a new constitution that establishes a true democratic republic where there is no place for the restoration of defunct regimes."

Regarding attempts to polish the image of the deposed Shah’s son, Chitsaz continued: "What is being promoted online is an engineered digital campaign aimed at confusing the opposition and distorting the path of democratic change through the manipulation of algorithms. However, reality proves that the Iranian people, who are today marking the 40th-day anniversary of the martyrs of the January 2026 uprising, raise a single slogan in the face of oppression: ‘No to the Shah, No to the Mullahs.’"

Clarifying the Resistance's stance on international policies, Chitsaz stated: "We reject any foreign military intervention. At the same time, we condemn the disastrous policy of 'appeasement' pursued by the West, which granted billions of dollars to the executioner Khamenei to fund the machinery of domestic repression and export terrorism and wars across the region."

Chitsaz emphasized the necessity for the international community to respond to the demands of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the Resistance, foremost among them: "Recognizing the right of the Iranian people to overthrow the regime, and recognizing the legitimate struggle waged by the Rebellious Youth in all Iranian cities against the tyranny of the executioner Khamenei."

Ms. Chitsaz concluded her statement by saying: "The blood of the martyrs that nourished the squares of the uprising, and the sacrifices of the Rebellious Youth, confirm that the sun of democratic change has risen. The world must refer the regime’s leaders to international courts for genocide and crimes against humanity and close the embassies of this regime, which have never been anything more than nests for terrorism."
