Saleh Gomaa Tests Positive for COVID-19

Al Ahly have announced on Friday that Saleh Gomaa has tested positive for COVID-19 after the results of the team Thursday PCR results was released, a day after it was disclosed Mahmoud Kahraba was also infected with the virus.

Gomaa has been struggling since last season with Al Ahly, making only three shy appearances for the EFA winners last season.

The Reds had announced yesterday that Kahraba test result came back positive; the player set to undergo another test on Saturday to verify his case.

Now Gomaa has joined him as the second player to contract the virus.

Al Ahly officially stated that the 27-year-old midfielder was tested among the team’s collective swabs ahead of the Egypt Cup quarterfinal against Abu Eer on Saturday, and the result of his test was positive.
