Salah El-Saadany Celebrates His 80th Birthday

The acclaimed Egyptian actor Salah El-Saadany celebrated his 80th birthday on Monday.

The iconic actor who has been in the film industry for over 50 years now, was born in El Giza city, in 1943.

Fondly known as the ‘Omda,’ El-Saadany has given numerous films that garnered attention from people across the Arab world.

Omda’s rise to fame was slow and steady and he made a lasting name for himself in the Egyptian film industry with numerous domestic and international awards and countless remarkable Egyptian movies showcasing his impeccable acting skills.

The great actor actually made his big breakthrough with his success in the ' El-Rahil' drama series and many remarkable films and stunning performances followed suit. His magnificent performance in the ' Laialy El Helmaya'' play won much praise from Arab fans and critics alike.
