Salah, Al Ahly Top Twitter Searches in 2019

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, Egyptian giants Al Ahly topped Twitter searches in Egypt in 2019. Twitter posted on its official account the top tweets, which witnessed a huge number of interactions in 2019 in the several Arab States, including Egypt.

Al Ahly lead the search of the clubs on Twitter in 2019, followed by Zamalek (2nd), and Ittihad of Alexandria (3rd).

Meanwhile, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah dominates the search of the players on Twitter during the current year in Egypt, followed by the Pharaohs' captains Ahmed Fathy (2nd), and the White Knights' captain Shikabala (3rd).

Salah records in 2019:

2019 is considered as one of the most important and stunning years in Mo Salah's football career. On January 8, 2019, Salah scooped the African Player of the Year award for the second time in his history.

He also guided the Reds to lift the Uefa Champions League after defeating Tottenham with 2 unanswered goals.

The iconic Egyptian star smashed a new record in 2019 after being ranked fifth in Ballon d’Or and was shortlisted for the ‘African Player of the Year’ Award in the CAF Awards 2019.

He was also chosen among the 50-man shortlist, who were nominated for the Uefa ”Team of the Year 2019.”

Salah took the fourth spot in the best FIFA player of the year rankings, preceded by Virgil van Dijk and Cristiano Ronaldo, while Argentine Lionel Messi won the best FIFA player of the year award.
